From the abyss to the surface, the ocean is their subject of study. Ifremer scientists will showcase their work during an open day on June 1, 2024, in Plouzané, near Brest (Finistère).

For the first time in 15 years, Ifremer, the French research institute for the exploitation of the sea, opens its doors to the public, Saturday June 1, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. On the occasion of its 40th anniversary, this public establishment entirely dedicated to knowledge of the ocean will take you behind the scenes of its Brest-Plouzané site (Finistère), the head office.

Deep seabed, ocean dynamics, coastal environment, fishing and aquaculture, technological developments and marine data… So many subjects explored during this day, accessible free of charge upon registration.
