The Algerian Investment Promotion Agency (AAPI) announced, Saturday, in a press release, the opening of investment in the fishing and aquaculture industries for the benefit of professionals or capital holders in the wilaya of Skikda, calling on investors to prepare technical sheets on their projects in anticipation of participation in the choice of land offered.
The registration operation to benefit from investment licenses will take place in the coming days on the Agency’s digital platform and investors, with sufficient financial capacity, are invited to prepare technical sheets on their projects, in particular the essential information relating to the budget envelope of the project, the sources of financing and the number of jobs to be created.
According to the press release, the proposed projects must preferably concern certain activities, in particular those which contribute to the substitution of imports, the production of goods and products as well as those which provide new solutions, noting that the choice of investment in the field of fishing and aquaculture is left to the free initiative of economic actors (professionals or capital holders) who can intervene in all activities open to investment, and which are linked to several axes.
Among the essential areas, the Agency cited the activities of the fishing industry, such as fishing equipment manufacturing units, marine engine and spare parts manufacturing units, processing units and/or or packaging of fishery products, fish skin recovery and processing units for the pharmaceutical, cosmetic and craft industries, fishing net manufacturing, recovery and recycling units, box manufacturing units of fishing products, units for washing boxes of fishing products, as well as units for recycling and recovery of waste from the manufacturing of fishing products.
It also concerns the construction, repair and maintenance activities of trawlers, like the repair and maintenance units of ships and trawlers, the construction and maintenance units of trawlers, the manufacturing units and assembly of hydraulic equipment for trawlers, companies manufacturing spare parts for trawlers, mobile maintenance, mechanical, electronic and hydraulic units for different types of ships, as well as different ship maintenance workshops, mechanics , hydraulics, electricity and others.
