Angola and the EU signed an agreement on February 21 to promote the sustainable management of marine resources and marine ecosystems.

For the sustainable blue economy in Angola, with a budget of 30 million euros, it should promote the conservation and sustainable management of marine resources and coastal ecosystems, in a context of climate change.

This program aims to preserve and sustainably manage biological resources and marine ecosystems, as well as to improve the exclusivity and economic, social and environmental sustainability of food value chains of aquatic origin and to improve the commercial viability of food products of aquatic origin in local markets.

At the end of the ceremony, the Minister of Fisheries and Marine Resources, Cármen Do Sacramento Neto, highlighted the importance of the agreement.
