A campaign to clean up the beaches of the town of Menzel Temime, (Governorate of Nabeul), started yesterday Friday and runs until tomorrow Sunday (July 12-14), under the slogan « Let’s keep our beaches and environment clean together ».

The campaign is co-organized by local and regional authorities, the Agence de Protection et d’Aménagement du Littoral (APAL), the Agence Nationale de Gestion des Déchets, (ANGED), and the Menzel Temime environmental association.

It is part of a series of clean-up campaigns launched by the Menzel Temime delegation to coincide with the start of the summer tourist season, Aymen Hmam, a civil society activist and member of the Menzel Temime environmental association, told TAP.

According to the same source, these initiatives aim to provide a healthy environment and improve citizens’ quality of life, stressing the need for a concerted effort by all stakeholders to support the efforts of the municipality’s services, as well as to raise citizens’ awareness of the importance of preserving the environment.
