The 3rd Annual International Conference and Exhibition of the African Section of the World Aquaculture Society (AFRAQ2024) will be held in Hammamet from November 19 to 22.
Over a thousand participants from Africa and around the world are expected to attend. The event preparations were revived last week with the signing of the hosting agreement by the National Institute of Marine Sciences and Technologies (INSTM), on behalf of the Tunisian Ministry of Agriculture, Water Resources, and Fisheries. This agreement signifies that the Tunisian government and its associated institutions are fully committed to working with the World Aquaculture Society (WAS) to ensure the smooth organization of the event.
The conference, themed « Blue Farming: New Horizons for Economic Growth, » will highlight some of the latest research, innovations, and investments in the field of aquaculture to support the continued growth of the aquaculture sector in Africa. The event will include a scientific forum (oral and poster presentations), a trade exhibition, industry forums, satellite workshops, student events, aquaculture and farm visits, and other activities.
