The AUF – Asia-Pacific invites you to a captivating seminar on the oceans, as part of the scientific Francophonie conference cycle on sustainable development. Hosted by Ms. Emmanuelle Pinault, an expert in climate governance and environmental policies, this seminar will be a unique opportunity to delve into the current challenges and innovative solutions for the ocean.

Why Participate?

The ocean, a pillar of life on Earth, regulates the climate and nourishes billions of people. Yet, it is threatened by climate change, pollution, overfishing, and other unsustainable activities.

This seminar offers an opportunity to discover the challenges and global initiatives for protecting, restoring, and sustainably managing this essential ecosystem. It will be particularly interesting and enriching for candidates wishing to apply for the Monaco Academy’s summer session.

  • Climate challenges and international treaties (Paris Agreement, High Seas Treaty, etc.)
  • Energy transition policies and the role of non-state actors
  • Innovations for decarbonizing and enhancing the resilience of oceanic and coastal systems
  • International and local initiatives for preserving the ocean and harnessing its potential for sustainable solutions.
