L’AUF – Asia-Pacific invites you to a captivating seminar on oceans, as part of the Francophone Scientific Conference Series on Sustainable Development. Hosted by Ms. Emmanuelle Pinault, an expert in climate governance and environmental policies, this seminar offers a unique opportunity to delve into current issues and innovative solutions for ocean conservation.
Why participate?
The ocean, a pillar of life on Earth, regulates the climate and sustains billions of people. Yet, it faces growing threats from climate change, pollution, overfishing, and unsustainable human activities.
This seminar will explore global challenges and initiatives aimed at protecting, restoring, and sustainably managing this vital ecosystem. It will be particularly valuable for candidates interested in applying for the Monaco Academy Summer Session.

- Climate issues and international treaties (Paris Agreement, High Seas Treaty, etc.)
- Energy transition policies and the role of non-state actors
- Innovations for decarbonization and the resilience of oceanic and coastal systems
- International and local initiatives to preserve the ocean and harness its potential for sustainable solutions
