The magazine Fisheye and the RATP transport network are highlighting the sea in an exhibition from January 30 to March 24. There is still one month left to enjoy the photographs of emerging artists displayed in nearly sixteen Parisian stations*. The artworks tell a multitude of stories about the sea. Featured works include the transformation of the Belgian coast by humans as seen through the eyes of Diana Takascova (Temporary Views), the fragility of Antarctic landscapes captured by Pia Riverola (Journey to Antarctica), the preservation of biodiversity in the Normandy intertidal zones showcased by Cloé Harent (Bruit Rose), and the entertainment of young people in the Calanques of Marseille by Jérémy Appert (Ilinx).
“The RATP invites Fisheye on a third visual journey, and this time we crossed the oceans. But in our own way, with a unique perspective on the sea. This theme, celebrated in 2025, is so essential that it deserves special attention. It remains a drop in the ocean, but it will accompany millions of users every day…” stated Benoît Baume, editor-in-chief of the bimonthly Fisheye.
The exhibition is organized as part of the Year of the Sea, a government initiative to promote the sea and ocean while raising awareness about maritime issues. The Year of the Sea encompasses various projects and events, including the Third United Nations Conference on the Ocean, which will take place in early June in Nice.
