Effectively Preserving the Ocean – Geopolitical Issues and Interdisciplinary Solutions for Marine Protected Areas
On the occasion of the Tara schooner’s stopover in Brest as part of its UNOC mission, the Tara Ocean Foundation, in partnership with Océanopolis, the Ocean & Climate Platform, and the French Office for Biodiversity, is organizing a public conference to discuss the political, economic, and social challenges related to ocean protection.

Just a few weeks before the United Nations Ocean Conference (UNOC) in Nice, this event will be an opportunity to discuss the political, economic, and social challenges related to Marine Protected Areas (MPAs) and to mobilize for strong commitments on a national scale.

- Current state and challenges of Marine Protected Areas
- Cross perspectives on conservation policies and geopolitical issues
- Solutions and interdisciplinary collaborations to strengthen ocean protection
