On June 5 and 6, 2025, IMREDD – Université Côte d’Azur is hosting an international B2B event in Nice, dedicated to sustainability, well-being, and innovation in the blue economy. Designed as a preparatory meeting for the United Nations Ocean Conference (UNOC-3), the event brings together public stakeholders, businesses, and research centers from France, Italy, and Monaco.

Towards Mediterranean Cooperation in Marine Health and Sustainability
As part of the “One Health: Well-Being and Sustainability in the Blue Economy” program, this cross-border forum brings together coastal innovation ecosystems to accelerate the transition towards development models that integrate human health, marine environment, and territorial sustainability.

The initiative is led by IMREDD – Université Côte d’Azur and the Center for Advanced Technologies in Health and Well-Being of San Raffaele Hospital (Milan), in partnership with Ocean Rise, the Consulate General of Italy in Nice, the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis, the Alpes-Maritimes Department, and the City of Nice, with the support of EU.TOPIA.

Two Formats to Foster Exchange
The event will unfold in two complementary formats. Around forty selected organizations will participate in collaborative workshops, project pitches, and B2B meetings. In parallel, morning open sessions will give visitors the opportunity to explore ongoing projects and engage with participants, encouraging dialogue between researchers, businesses, and local authorities.

A Strategic Framework Ahead of UNOC-3
Taking place just days before the official opening of UNOC-3 in Nice, this forum serves as a preparatory milestone supporting an integrated health–environment approach in coastal areas. It promotes scientific and industrial cooperation in connection with blue economy challenges, marine ecosystem preservation, and the well-being of coastal communities.
