The completion of wastewater treatment plants in Dar Chaabane and Tekelsa in Nabeul, the reinforcement of regional equipment for clearing blocked pipelines, and the implementation of coastal protection projects were at the center of the working visit conducted on Saturday by Environment Minister Habib Abid in Nabeul.
According to information provided by the ministry, the minister emphasized during a working session held at the Hammamet municipality headquarters the government’s commitment to mobilizing the necessary funds for the realization of coastal protection projects in the governorate.
Abid also visited Yasmine Hammamet beach, where he reviewed proposed sites for the construction of a wastewater treatment facility, aimed at resolving ongoing issues affecting this beach and all beaches in Hammamet.
Additionally, he was briefed on a proposal to transform the Yasmine area into a park and health trail.
