From June 17 to 20, 2025, the Kram Exhibition Park will host the inaugural edition of the Mediterranean Water, Irrigation, and Energy Expo (Irrimed). The event will bring together 150 exhibitors over an area of 5,000 square meters and is expected to attract around 15,000 visitors. Attendees will include industry professionals, policymakers, farmers, researchers, and representatives of specialized companies.

Tunisia faces structural drought challenges, exacerbated by growing water demand for agriculture, tourism, and domestic use. Irrimed aligns with the National Strategy for Sustainable Water Economy 2030–2050, which aims to optimize water resource management. Exhibitors will showcase technological solutions in water treatment, smart irrigation, and renewable energies. Both Tunisian and international companies, as well as public institutions such as SONEDE, ANME, and ANGed, will participate in the event.

Alongside the exhibitions, a program of conferences and workshops will address topics such as desalination, efficient irrigation, and water governance. Local and international experts will share their knowledge, while universities and research centers will be invited to contribute to the discussions. The organizers also emphasize partnership opportunities, providing participants with a platform for technical and commercial exchange.

This expo represents an important step in mobilizing regional stakeholders around water and energy challenges. It serves as a space for dialogue and forward-looking solutions tailored to Tunisia’s and the Mediterranean’s climate and economic challenges.
