Currently, in the marine world, only fished or protected species are granted rights. This is far too little given the vast array of life communities and the proper functioning of marine ecosystems on which we are so deeply dependent. François Sarano and Marine Calmet have come together to call for greater recognition of every living being in the ocean — from the largest to the smallest — in order to fundamentally rethink our relationship with marine life.
