This project aims to create a collective knowledge-sharing and resilience-building space where key stakeholders can come together in their mitigation and adaptation efforts.
The hub seeks to promote and facilitate innovation, collaboration, and sustainable practices to address the substantial and growing challenges faced by coastal communities in Tanzania (and beyond) as a result of oceanic climate change. Here and throughout this proposal, oceanic climate change refers to the impacts on marine and ocean ecosystems and services anticipated due to anthropogenic climate degradation, based on the latest scientific knowledge.
The Ocean Climate Innovation Hub aligns with the global need for tangible action against climate change and its effects on coastal communities, marine ecosystems, and economies.
