Tanger Med II (TM2) closed out 2025 on a high note, setting a new record with 5 million TEUs handled.
This figure represents the highest volume ever recorded since the terminal began operations in 2019.
In a global context marked by the reshaping of shipping alliances and the search for highly productive hubs, Tanger Med is strengthening its position among the most efficient ports in the EMEA region (Europe–Middle East–Africa).
This performance is part of a sustained investment strategy. In December 2025, the TM2 terminal expanded its fleet of ship-to-shore (STS) gantry cranes from 20 to 24 units, with the delivery of four new super post-Panamax cranes supplied by the Chinese manufacturer ZPMC.
In addition, TM2 ranks among the most technologically advanced terminals in the Mediterranean basin.
