During a meeting on Monday, February 2 in Tunis with the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Transport Minister Rachid Amri stressed the need to accelerate the implementation of executive programs to activate bilateral agreements in the field of transport, all categories combined, as well as in the logistics sector.

“The two parties also stressed the importance of enhanced coordination to develop connectivity between Tunisian and Egyptian airports, while studying the possibility of opening a shipping line between the two countries, in order to facilitate the transport of goods and passenger movement, in the service of the common interests of the two sister nations,” reads a publication on the ministry’s official account on social networks.

And to add that the meeting was devoted to the examination of ways to strengthen joint cooperation in the transport sector, in all its components, as well as to the implementation of the related bilateral cooperation programs, so as to contribute to the strengthening of historical and privileged relations uniting the Tunisian Republic and the Arab Republic of Egypt, in accordance with the affirmed political will of the two countries.
