CT UAV (member of the CT group) collaborates with the newspaper Nguoi Lao Dong to implement the special program « CT UAV supports fishermen remaining at sea », a pioneer in the use of the low-altitude air economy (LAE) to protect maritime sovereignty, islands and the continental shelf.
It is also a concrete action to contribute to the implementation of Politburo Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of 22 December 2024 on breakthroughs in the development of science, technology and innovation, which is strongly implemented throughout society.
Last February, a transatlantic drone link was inaugurated for the first time within ASEAN, connecting Can Gio to Vung Tau. This flight, the result of a collaboration between the Department of Science and Technology of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam Post, GASCO – ASEAN Low Altitude Space Economy Company (member of the CT group) and CT UAV, designer and manufacturer of drones, opens up important prospects for the development of the low-altitude space economy in the region.
The first transatlantic drone link within ASEAN is of particular importance: it is a strategic step in the drone campaign to put low-altitude space at the service of the protection of the seas, islands and the continental shelf. In collaboration with the newspaper Nguoi Lao Dong, as part of the « Drone Campaign to Support Fishermen at Sea » program, this team intends to continue the « One Million National Flags for Sea Fishermen » program (now entitled « Proud of the National Flag ») by proposing concrete actions for fishermen and cultivating a deep patriotism.
Vietnam currently has more than 82,000 fishing vessels and about 4 million fishermen and sea workers. However, in recent years, fishermen have faced many difficulties due to the continuous rise in fuel prices.
In recent days, in the face of soaring fuel prices, hundreds of fishing boats have remained docked along the Ca Ty River and in the Phan Thiet port area, despite the beginning of the first fishing season of the year. The once intense activity of the fishing port has given way to relative calm. At the fishing port of Con Cha, we meet only a few people, and many refrigerated trucks parked along the dock are empty. Fishing boats, which buy seafood, are also immobilized on land due to the weakness of catches, while the cost of each sea trip continues to increase. Many have suffered such large losses or expenses that fishermen are considering selling their boats and abandoning their profession.
In many cases, the simple fact of quickly receiving a supply of medicines, rescue assistance, spare parts, equipment or basic necessities allows a ship to continue its journey at sea instead of having to return to land in the middle of fishing. That’s why the extremely wind-resistant drone technology, recently developed by CT UAV, is a great solution to reduce costs and improve the safety of fishermen, a result that no other drone manufacturer has managed to achieve so far.
In the maritime environment, strong winds are a major challenge for any drone platform. In the face of winds of force 7 or 8, a passive aerodynamic design or pure mechanical power are not enough to guarantee the success of the mission. The survival of the system is then entirely based on its « brain »: the flight control system and its real-time algorithmic processing capabilities. Overcoming extreme winds is, in essence, a fierce struggle between mathematics and signal latency. With full control of flight control and sophisticated wind-resistant control algorithms, CT UAV’s advanced technology has the potential to free drone platforms from weather constraints.

A representative of the CT group said: « Currently, CT UAV has a perfect command of basic technology in the field of drones and is starting phase 2, that of technological innovation. Thanks to this mastery, we are fully capable of creating many new technologies and specialized products that will help fishermen overcome difficulties through technological support. «
At the same time, the newspaper Nguoi Lao Dong plays a mediator role between technology and the community. Thanks to the success of the « One Million National Flags for Fishermen at Sea » program, the newspaper has forged a vast network of links in coastal provinces and cities, building deep trust within the fishing community. « The newspaper Nguoi Lao Dong, the CT group in general and CT UAV in particular share many common points: a spirit of service to society and a desire for technological excellence. Cooperation between the parties will have significant economic benefits and will contribute to the affirmation of maritime sovereignty. Mr. To Dinh Tuan – editor-in-chief of the newspaper Nguoi Lao Dong shared.
