Having become the 47th permanent member of the IALA (International Organization for Maritime Navigation Assistance), Libya seeks to improve the safety of its navigation and modernize its ports. The membership, formalized in Paris by Libyan Chargé d’affaires Mohammed Hamouda, will give the country access to international expertise and good practices to strengthen the management of navigation aid and optimize maritime infrastructure and services.
