World swimming champion Ahmed Jaouadi arrived in Tunisia on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, after winning two gold medals in the 800m and 1500m freestyle events at the World Championships in Singapore.
Members and officials of the Tunisian National Olympic Committee welcomed the world champion at the Committee’s headquarters. A financial reward was presented to him in recognition of his historic achievement at this global competition.
The President of the Olympic Committee, Mehrez Boussayene, praised all the members of the team who supported Jaouadi during the final stages of his preparation. He highlighted their voluntary commitment to serving the nation, and emphasized the importance of sports science in the training of high-level athletes.
