The Blue Plan continues its efforts to raise awareness for the protection of the Mediterranean. We have designed « The Blue Plan Meetings »: a series of webinars led by experts to discuss current environmental challenges in the Mediterranean.
The ninth edition of the Blue Plan Meetings will focus on « The Mediterranean in 2050: Foresight of the Blue Plan. » Emerging from the participatory foresight exercise MED2050, this study has resulted in six scenarios for the Mediterranean, both as a sea and as a region, towards 2050.
The event will take place online on Thursday, January 16, 2025, from 14:00 to 15:30 (Paris Time). Interpretation will be available in both French and English.

- 14:00: Introduction by Guillaume Sainteny, President of the Blue Plan
- 14:10: Presentation of the MED 2050 project phases, challenges, trends in the Mediterranean by 2050, six scenarios, and recommendations from the study by Jacques Theys, Vice President of the Blue Plan in charge of Foresight, Denis Lacroix, Secretary General of the Blue Plan, and Khadidja AMINE, Foresight and Sustainable Development Manager.
