This is the case with two maritime companies based in Marseille: Bourbon, a company specializing in surface and underwater maritime services in the fields of oil, gas, and wind farms, and Opsealog, which focuses on performance management and reducing environmental impact.
Frédéric Siohan, the Director of Standards and Innovation at Bourbon Marine & Logistics, stated:
« This partnership we have formed with Opsealog will enable us to join the decarbonization movement. Let’s take an example with a vessel at sea and our collaboration. Every day, the sailors fill out a logbook, which is electronic at Bourbon. These data are transmitted to Opsealog, which will structure and compile them in order to create weekly, monthly, and annual reports. These reports are then sent to the ship’s crew, the ship manager, and the contract manager. »
