The International Fishing and Aquaculture Exhibition, held in the city of Oran, Algeria, from 6 to 9 November 2025, saw a remarkable Tunisian presence, with delegations from Tunisian companies participating under the organization and supervision of the Centre for Export Promotion (CEPEX).

This participation is part of a regional expansion strategy aimed at promoting Tunisian solutions and expertise in the fishing, aquaculture, and maritime industry sectors.

According to a CEPEX statement, the Tunisian delegation included three leading companies representing key sectors of the national industry: two companies specialized in fish feed production, seafood processing, and fry farming (raising juvenile fish), and one company specialized in the maritime sector, with extensive experience in the design, construction, and renovation of fishing vessels, qualifying it to meet the needs of both the Algerian and African markets.

The exhibition is considered one of Africa’s major events dedicated to fishing and aquaculture. Its tenth edition brought together 180 exhibitors from 17 different countries.

This year’s edition placed particular emphasis on research and innovation, featuring 38 start-ups and hosting ten scientific workshops focused on the sustainable management of marine resources. As the host country, Algeria demonstrated significant expansion in the aquaculture sector, launching 27 new marine aquaculture projects and releasing approximately 46 million juvenile fish, representing a 50% increase compared to previous years.
