ABUELA OCEANO HABLA

The Voice of the Ocean
My name is Emelina Corrales. I am a marine biologist, a poet, and deeply connected to the Ocean.
I wrote Grandmother Ocean Speaks, a collection of poems that embodies the voice of the Ocean — wise, ancient, and alive.

It is a great honor to offer a printed copy to each official delegation attending the United Nations Ocean Conference (UNOC 2025) in Nice, along with a few additional copies for key individuals working for the future of the Ocean.

The book opens with a precious foreword by Astrid Puentes, United Nations Special Rapporteur on Human Rights and the Environment, whose words amplify the deep message of this work.

I am currently raising funds exclusively to print this book by June 9, 2025.

Why? Because poetry awakens the sensitivity we need to protect what we love. And we will only truly protect the Ocean if we learn to feel it again.

This book is an offering to the Ocean — and a heartfelt call.

Your contribution will go solely toward covering the printing costs.
Thank you for being part of this poetic, powerful, and necessary gesture for the Ocean that sustains us.
