On Saturday, the Swiss sailor Justine Mettraux made history by becoming the fastest woman ever to complete the Vendée Globe! She crossed the finish line in 8th place, after 76 days, 1 hour, and 36 minutes at sea, setting a new female record for this solo, non-stop, around-the-world race.
She surpasses the previous record held by Clarisse Crémer, who completed the 2020-2021 edition in 87 days.
