The Ministry of Agriculture, Water Resources, and Fisheries, through the General Directorate of Fisheries and the General Fisheries Commission for the Mediterranean (GFCM), is organizing a competition for the selection of pilot projects in sustainable aquaculture, as part of the support provided to young entrepreneurs in the aquaculture sector.

Individuals interested in this competition must meet all the required conditions before submitting their application via the following link: http://httpss://ee.kobotoolbox.org/x/QTgFEBja, and submit their candidacy before March 1, 2024.

The competition requirements stipulate, in particular, that the participating aquaculture project is worth less than 500 thousand dinars and that the entrepreneur must rely on sustainable and responsible production methods, in addition to proficiency in the English language.

The competition concerns other countries including Algeria, Egypt, Lebanon, and Morocco. It will allow only one project from each country to win a prize, which consists of participation in a training session on sustainable aquaculture entrepreneurship in Greece and will be technically supported after the training to improve the project’s feasibility.
