Marsa Maroc maintains its position as the 4th largest container port operator in Africa for the second consecutive year, according to the latest Global Container Terminal Operators report from Drewry.
Drewry, a global leader in port and maritime data and analytics, established this ranking based on the performance of Marsa Maroc’s container terminals at the ports of Tanger Med, Casablanca and Agadir, which recorded a total volume of 2.9 million TEUS in 2024.
The port operator plans to strengthen its continental position with the upcoming commissioning of its two terminals dedicated to container transshipment at the Nador West Med port, whose capacity exceeds 5 million TEU.
This expansion will allow Marsa Maroc to begin a ramp-up that will sustainably consolidate its place among the main container operators on the African continent.
