After two successive postponements (in November 2023 due to water supply issues, and in April 2024 due to security concerns), Mayotte will host the 14th Indian Ocean Islands Economic Forum (FEIOI) from November 5 to 7. This marks the second time the forum will be held in Mayotte since its inception.

The event will take place at the Mayotte Technopole in Dembéni, focusing on the theme of « regional production. » In 2022, the 13th edition was held in Mauritius under the theme « Rethinking Tomorrow, » where economic, financial, and institutional stakeholders were invited to « think together about the major challenges of the future. »

This 14th FEIOI will feature nine roundtables and nine workshops highlighting production capabilities in the region, innovations, and challenges. New tools, such as an online B2B platform, have been designed to facilitate exchanges and business opportunities among participants. Additionally, Biodiversity Fresco workshops will combine engaging discussions with awareness of marine and terrestrial ecosystem preservation.

A series of site visits will also be organized, focusing on Mahoran businesses active in regional production, allowing economic operators from the Indian Ocean area to explore Mayotte’s vibrant private sector and local commercial potential. This will be an excellent opportunity for Mayotte to enhance its attractiveness and international visibility.

  • Interested residents of Mayotte are asked to complete the registration form.
  • Operators from the Indian Ocean area or elsewhere are invited to complete the registration form.
