As part of « La Mer en Commun – Année de la Mer 2025 » and the Ocean and Seas Days (February 3-4, 2025), the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS) and the Ocean & Climate Platform (POC) are pleased to invite you to the event « Act for the Ocean – Bridging Ocean Science and Public Policy » on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, from 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM (Marie-Curie Auditorium, CNRS, 3 rue Michel-Ange, Paris).

Through three thematic sessions, this morning event will explore the connections between science, decision-making, and concrete actions, highlighting collaborative initiatives involving experts, policymakers, and field actors. Featuring international events and initiatives such as the 3rd United Nations Ocean Conference (UNOC) and the International Platform for Ocean Sustainability (IPOS), as well as national efforts like the French National Council for the Sea and Coastlines (CNML), this gathering will showcase how ocean research is evolving to tackle the major challenges of the 21st century and enhance its impact through structured programs.

Participation is free, but registration is mandatory due to limited seating. Please register by January 20, 2025.
