The Ministry of Agriculture, Water Resources and Fisheries announced on Wednesday the extension of the octopus fishing season closure for 2024/2025 by an additional month, now running from October 15 to November 15, 2025.
According to a statement released by the Ministry, this decision aims to preserve fishery resources and ensure the sustainability of octopus fisheries in Tunisian waters.
The Ministry also reminded that the minimum legal catch size for octopus fishing is one kilogram (1 kg).
