February 20, 2026 officially opened its doors.Call for transnational rolling access to marine and maritime research (IR) infrastructures promoted byPartnership for a sustainable blue economy.
The call will remainopen until February 29, 2028. It represents an important opportunity for universities, research centers, companies and public authorities interested in access to excellent marine and maritime research infrastructures at European level.
The call provides forcontinuousopen application procedure withDeadlines every 4 months. Thefirst deadline is set forJune 20, 2026 (11 a.m. HEC).
The initiative allowstransnational access to about fifty research infrastructures (IR) distributedin the main European sea basins: Atlantic Ocean, North Sea, Baltic Sea, Black Sea, Mediterranean Sea
It is a strategic opportunity tostrengthen European scientific cooperation andsupport the development of the sustainable blue economy.
Icovered the costs of access to research infrastructure, while the operational costs of the project team remain the responsibility of the participants.
Beneficiaries will have access toresearch vessels, fixed platforms and experimental stations, mobile platforms (AUVs, gliders, aircraft),analysis laboratories and test benches, high-performance computer and digital facilities, data infrastructures (virtual access).
Three access modes are planned: physical (in person, in the field),remote (managed by infrastructure staff),Virtual (fully digital environment).
The call isOpen touniversities and higher education institutions, public and private research organizations, SMEs and large companies, NGOs, public authorities.
A fundamental requirement is the demonstration of havingown funding to carry out project activities.
