The Senegalese president received a delegation from the Korean company on Monday in Dakar, which promises to support the Agenda 2050 by adding value to seafood products, within a context of diversifying economic partnerships.

The Head of State of Senegal received this afternoon at the Presidency a delegation from the Korean group DONEWON, led by its Vice-President, Myoung Lee, reports the Presidency on its social networks, as seen by APA.

Specializing in the fisheries industry, the company expressed its intention to actively support Senegal’s Agenda 2050, focusing on the local processing of seafood products.

According to the Presidency, DONEWON’s commitment is part of the diversification dynamic and aims to strengthen the value chain in Senegal’s fisheries sector, in line with the sustainable development ambitions promoted by Agenda 2050.

The new authorities, resulting from the March 2024 political transition, have shown a clear will to diversify the country’s economic partnerships. For example, Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko recently undertook a multi-day tour in China, where he chaired an economic forum in Hangzhou, sealing several strategic agreements related to industry, infrastructure, energy, and transport.
