According to a ranking carried out by Time Out, a media specializing in travel and outings, Sidi Bou Said is placed as the 3rd most beautiful village in the world.
Sidi Bou Said is a village perched on a cliff overseeing Carthage and the Gulf of Tunis. It ascends 130 meters from sea level.
The possibility of including the village of Sidi Bou Saïd, recognized worldwide for its heritage, and historical and architectural importance, on the UNESCO World Heritage list is currently under study.
Remark that Sidi Bou Saïd is associated with the site of Carthage, listed as a UNESCO world heritage site since 1979.
