Coastal cities and regions are on the front lines of climate change. Faced with increasingly intense weather events—erosion, flooding, submersion, storms, extreme rainfall, drought—they must adapt urgently and sustainably.

Recognizing the need to find solutions to help these territories adapt and to confront this crisis collectively, the 3rd United Nations Ocean Conference (UNOC 3) will dedicate a summit to coastal cities, regions, and island states, to be held on June 7, 2025, in Nice, France.

Bringing together mayors and governors of coastal cities and regions from around the world, along with representatives of island states and key stakeholders leading adaptation efforts, this summit will mark the launch of the Coalition for Sea Level Rise and Coastal Resilience for Cities and Regions.
