On Wednesday, March 12, 2025, the Minister of Transport, Rachid Amri, chaired a working session focused on examining the necessary measures to accelerate the realization of the deep-water port project and the logistics zone in Enfidha. The meeting was attended by the Director General of Port Enfidha, along with several officials from the Ministry and the company.
Emphasizing the state’s commitment to implementing this strategic project while maintaining national sovereignty and ensuring alignment with economic and social objectives, the minister highlighted the qualitative leap that this new generation port will bring. It will adhere to international standards for quality, safety, and the environment. This project marks a significant advancement in maritime transport and the development of port infrastructures. It also offers the country the opportunity to capitalize on its strategic geographic location as Africa’s gateway at the regional level.
He further added that this project will become a key pillar to strengthen competitiveness, complementing Tunisia’s other commercial ports, and optimizing the efficiency and productivity of port management.
After presenting all the components of the deep-water port project and the logistics zone, Rachid Amri recommended preparing a file that includes various operational measures related to real estate and organizational aspects. This will ensure the successful execution of the project within the established timeline.
