The program includes two components: the first linked to investment in environmental infrastructure, which includes industrial depollution projects in public establishments located on the banks of the lake, including the steel company, the Tunisian Society of Refining Industries and the Société des cementeries de Bizerte, expand and prepare the sanitation network in the Lake Bizerte area, and rehabilitate the sanitation stations of Bizerte, Mateur and Menzel Bourguiba, close the industrial landfill of Menzel Bourguiba, recover its site, prepare the banks of the lake, create a cornice in the Menzel Abderrahmane area and expand its fishing port.
The second component concerns support for institutions interested in monitoring and monitoring the lake environment, sources of pollution in the region and activities that contribute to sustaining the results of the project.
