The Minister of Family, Women, Children, and Seniors, Asma Jabri, reaffirmed Tunisia’s ongoing commitment to women’s rights on the second day of the Tunisian delegation’s participation in the 69th session of the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women, chaired by Saudi Arabia and held in New York.
According to a statement from the ministry, Asma Jabri highlighted, during her speech at the high-level ministerial meeting on « National mechanisms to achieve equality and empower women and girls, » the various institutional advancements and research tools developed in Tunisia to promote gender equality and equal opportunities.
The minister also participated in a high-level conference titled « Achievements and Challenges in the Arab Region: Thirty Years After Beijing, with a Focus on Care Work During Crises and Conflicts, » chaired by the Libyan Minister of State for Women’s Affairs, Houria Tarmal.
