Special Day on « Can the Ocean Save Us? » this Tuesday on France Inter
On the occasion of the upcoming UN Ocean Conference in Nice, France Inter is dedicating a special day titled « Can the Ocean Save Us? » On June 9-13, this summit will bring together world leaders, thousands of delegates, scientists, and NGO representatives to discuss actions needed to protect marine life.
The program features an in-depth interview with Ocean Ambassador Olivier Poivre d’Arvor, Tara Ocean Foundation CEO Romain Troublé, and CNRS researcher Sophie Gambardella.
“Ocean agreements coming out of Nice should be as important as the Paris agreements. It’s crucial, it’s urgent,” warns Ocean Ambassador Olivier Poivre d’Arvor. He calls for a strong defense of the ocean and making it a truly shared cause. “The challenge is to protect this living ocean. It must remain alive for us to stay alive,” adds Romain Troublé, CEO of the Tara Ocean Foundation and president of the “Oceans and Climate” platform.
