Quelle est cette étrange éolienne en forme de pyramide en construction dans le port de Brest ?

The young Breton startup Eolink hopes to install its pyramid-shaped floating wind turbine at the Open-C offshore testing site in Le Croisic (Loire-Atlantique) by the end of 2026. While offshore wind traditionally follows a « one tower, three blades » model, the Brest-based company is focusing on a four-tower design.

The yellow steel block moves slowly along the track. Eyes fixed on a console, an operator in an orange vest remotely guides the metal giant through the port. Standing as tall as a three-story building, the steel piece joins the columns and metal blocks already positioned on the assembly site of the energy company Eolink in the port of Brest (Finistère). « The goal is to do it like with Lego pieces. We will assemble and weld the blocks together to create a float that is just under 30 meters high, » explains Alain Morry, Eolink’s commercial director.
