The president of the Association for the Preservation of the City of Sidi El Hani, Salakta, Abdallah Sghaïr, has denounced the excessive accumulation of plastic bags on the beach of Salakta, located in the Mahdia governorate.
He called on the competent authorities to intervene quickly to resolve this issue, emphasizing that this beach is the only recreational area for the local residents.
Sghaïr stressed the urgent need to protect the environment, stating that the Salakta beach is facing a true ecological disaster.
He also clarified that the Association does not oppose the economic activities of any company in the region, but it is essential to respect the citizens’ right to live in a healthy and safe environment.
