The stranded cetacean in northern Germany managed to break free of itself.
This is the end of a soap opera widely followed in the German media. Timmy, a whale stranded on March 31 in the Baltic Sea, in northern Germany, managed to start again on its own and get back offshore.
Attempts to help the animal had so far failed, jeopardizing the animal’s chances of survival. An excavator had been used, but without success, Timmy could not find his way back. Finally, it was without help that the 12.35 m long whale was able to leave the Bay of Wismar. But it must now find the deep waters, which is not yet fully won.
