Organized by the association Chécy les amis du patrimoine, the conference-debate entitled « There is a hitch in plastic », hosted by Orleans Jules Vagner, president of the Orléans Zéro Plastique association, brought together nearly forty people on Friday evening at the Canopy auditorium, in Chécy.

This association created in 2020 by Jules Vagner, Elouan Sivilier and Prince Maboussou, aims to fight against overproduction and plastic pollution, by mobilizing citizens, associations and public actors.

For one hour, Jules Vagner made it clear to the causes and impacts of plastic production.

« We must protect ourselves from an invisible danger that has become a health and climate issue. Indeed, we now find microplastics in water, air, our food and even in the human body. We must ban single-use plastic, reuse, repair household appliances, because recycling must only be a last resort, « he stressed.

The second edition of the zero plastic month will take place like last year, next November in Orleans. His goal is to make solutions visible rather than giving lessons!
