Dr Christina Zeri, is a Chemist-Oceanographer, Research Director at the Institute of Oceanography, Hellenic Centre for Marine Research (HCMR). During the years 2015-2021 she was a member of the Scientific Advisory Board of the Institute of Oceanography. Her expertise spansmarine biogeochemistry, pollution by metals, plastics and microplastics. She is active in research related to the MSFD and WFD EU Directives and has supported UNEP/MAP for the implementation of the Barcelona Convention/Ecosystem Approach (EcAp) protocol.
