Clément Lavigne has been the Director of Ocean Policy at the Oceanographic Institute, Albert 1st Prince of Monaco Foundation, since March 2023.
An agronomic engineer by training, he began his career in oil spill response, and damage assessment. He then worked for 25 years for the private sector, with a focus on ocean activities and environmental and societal performance.
As Director of Ocean Policy, he advises and supports the major programs of the Oceanographic Institute in its mediation mission to help all stakeholders “know, love and protect the ocean”.
