Geneviève Pons was responsible for environment and climate issues in the cabinet of Jacques Delors, former President of the European Commission (1991-1995). She is an honorary director of the European Commission and served as the director of the legal department at the International Labour Organization (ILO) in 2013. In 2015, she became the director of the European Office of WWF. Since November 2017, she has been leading Europe Jacques Delors, the newest addition to the family of think tanks promoting Jacques Delors’ European vision. She is a member of the European Mission: Restore our Ocean and Waters, chaired by Pascal Lamy. She co-chairs the Antarctica 2020 coalition with Pascal Lamy, aiming to protect the vast marine areas around Antarctica. She is also a co-chair, along with Sébastien Treyer (IDDRI), of the Stakeholder Committee of Ifremer.
