Joachim Claudet is a Research Director and Advisor on Oceans at the CNRS. A member of the National Council for the Protection of Nature and the National Council for the Sea and Coastal Areas, he chairs the scientific councils of the Plateforme Océan-Climat and MedPAN, the network of managers of marine protected areas in the Mediterranean. He is also a member of numerous other scientific committees, including the Biodiversity Research Foundation and Blue Parks, and international working groups such as the High-Level Panel for a Sustainable Ocean Economy.
