A graduate of the Ecole Polytechnique and an oceanographer, she is Director of Research at the CNRS and Deputy Director of the Oceans, Climate and Resources Department at the IRD (Institut de Recherche pour le Développement). A former chair of the TOSCA-Ocean committee at CNES (Centre National d’Etudes Spatiales), she has also sat on a number of scientific boards, including at IFREMER, New York University Abu Dhabi and INRH (Institut National de Recherche Halieutique) in Morocco.
