He holds a Ph.D. in Marine Biology and Marine Mammal Ecology. He has directed projects with the NGO “MENKAB, il respiro del mare” (in Italy) and at the University of Science in Bizerte. He helped Mediterranean countries implement the ecosystem approach of the Barcelona Convention at the SPA/RAC (Specially Protected Areas Regional Activity Centre). He is currently in charge of the marine program at WWF North Africa.
