Mehdi Ben Haj is passionate about maritime and coastal issues. He currently holds the position of Director of the Coastal Observatory at the Agence de Protection et d’Aménagement du Littoral (APAL) in Tunisia. He is also the President of the Mediterranean Coastal and Maritime Network (RMLM), the President of the Tunisian Association of Coastal, Port and Maritime Engineering (ATIM), the Secretary General of the Tunisian Maritime Cluster (CMT), the Vice President of the Association La Saison Bleue (LSB) and the Commissioner General of the World Maritime Forum – Bizerte (FMMB).
Mehdi Ben Haj holds a degree in Civil Engineering and a Diploma of Advanced Studies in Applied Mathematics. He is a Lecturer of Coastal Planning and Maritime Works in several universities.
