Mikaa BLUGEON-MERED is a lecturer in geopolitics of hydrogen and geopolitics of overseas territories at Sciences Po (Paris). He is an independent researcher, author, and speaker specializing in the nexus of Poles/Climate/Hydrogen. He also teaches at HEC Paris and the University Mohammed VI Polytechnique (Morocco). His work intersects the issues of space, security, markets, sustainability, and flows with a neo-institutionalist approach. Formerly the Secretary-General of the Overseas Chair at Sciences Po, pedagogical tutor of the Environmental Committee at the War School, collaborator of the President of the National Council of the Sea and Coastlines, and expert evaluator for the European Commission, he currently serves as an administrator of the SEFACIL Foundation, specializing in research on the evolution of maritime and port issues. He is also a member of the Steering Committee of the Hydrogen Task Force (MEDEF International / France Hydrogène / CSF-Nouveaux Systèmes Énergétiques). He was awarded two prizes for his first book, “Les Mondes polaires” (PUF, 2019), and in June 2022, he was appointed “Ambassador for Green Hydrogen” by the International Association for Hydrogen Energy (IAHE). He regularly appears in French and international media.
