Romy Hentinger graduated from the Bordeaux Institute of Political Studies. She started her career as a project manager at the French Development Agency (AFD). For three years, she worked on the development of the private sector in French Guyana, and also developed and monitored cross-border cooperation projects with Surinam and Brazil in the fields of health and environment. After her valuable experience with AFD, Romy Hentinger joined the Tara Ocean Foundation in 2016, she is the Director of the Advocacy and International Cooperation Unit at the Foundation. She coordinates the strategies and advocacy actions of the Foundation on different topics (plastic pollution, high seas, climate, and biodiversity) with technical experts and scientists.
